About the Trick or Trot 5k & Fun Run
The race starts and finishes in a campus parking lot near a coliseum and events pavilion. It benefits a local nonprofit that runs youth mentoring programs through basketball, faith, and a weekly run club, so the cause is local and specific. Halloween morning adds a costumed crowd to what is otherwise a straightforward out-and-back or loop on campus grounds.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a fitness center in Natchitoches, with race-morning pickup available at the start area. The main distance and the shorter fun run have separate start windows, so if you are bringing younger kids, the fun run goes off first.
