The course starts on a paved greenway, then ducks into singletrack trail through Hickory Cove Nature Preserve. The trail section is shaded and well-marked, with enough roots and turns to feel like actual trail running. It comes back out onto the greenway for the finish, which is flat and open. Proceeds benefit a local land trust.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at Fleet Feet Huntsville, with an early morning start the following day.
