About the Trail to Recovery
The course runs out and back along the Ernst Bike Trail, starting and finishing at Bean's Trailhead. The trail is paved and open to pets on leash, so expect a few dogs along the route. The race is put on by a local drug and alcohol recovery agency, and there is a Drug Overdose Awareness memorial at the event, along with free Naloxone available at the finish.
Registration happens in the parking lot at the trailhead, right by the start line. The lot fills up and gets roped off when it does, but there is overflow parking at a nearby mall, with a road crossing to mind. Water is available at the start and at the turnaround point. Awards are handmade locally.

The Trail to Recovery has been held every year since at least 2023. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
