About the TopCity Half Marathon

The course follows the Shunga Trail and winds through Topeka neighborhoods, giving you a real sense of the city rather than a loop around a parking lot. The trail is a known local running route, so the surface underfoot is familiar to anyone who has trained there. Aid stations are spaced out across the course, some with portable restrooms nearby.

After finishing, there are beverages from a local coffee shop and a brewery on site. The half marathon has a pace requirement to satisfy city permit conditions for street closures, so it is worth knowing before you line up.
