About the Top Gun Night Run 6k

The course runs through Lee Victory Recreation Park at night, looping past the local airport and a municipal golf course before finishing at the Captain Jeff Kuss memorial, where a retired Blue Angel jet stands on permanent display. The race honors a military pilot lost during an air show performance here, and the illuminated memorial at the finish gives the evening a weight you feel.

Live music and vendors are set up in the park around the finish area, so there is reason to linger after you cross. Proceeds support upkeep of the memorial and a scholarship created in his name.
