About the Tom O'Reilly Turkey Trot 5k

The course runs through Colonial Park, a flat stretch that moves quickly underfoot. It is named for Tom O'Reilly, and the race carries that weight genuinely without making a big show of it. Proceeds support a scholarship fund in his memory. The surroundings are park-green and calm, not urban.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local running store, or you can pick up race morning at the pavilion. Parking is limited to one lot, and the main park road closes early, so arriving closer to the start time means coming in from the Mettlers Road entrance. Post-race snacks and drinks are set up at the pavilion.
