About the Toledo Roadrunner Turkey Trot Prediction Run

The format here flips the usual race logic: instead of running as fast as you can, you predict your finish time before the start, then run without a watch or GPS if you want to compete. It comes down to feel and honesty. Whoever lands closest to their predicted time wins a turkey.

Entry can be paid in canned goods rather than card, which gives the whole morning a different texture than most races. Proceeds go to a local food bank, and the organizers specifically ask runners to check expiration dates on canned donations before showing up. Winners need to stay for the awards, or the prize moves on.

Common Questions About the Toledo Roadrunner Turkey Trot Prediction Run

Will I finish last at the Toledo Roadrunner Turkey Trot Prediction Run?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.10686 Miles field finished slower than 31:55, and the last recorded finisher came in around 51:52, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Toledo Roadrunner Turkey Trot Prediction Run a good first 3.10686 Miles?

It is a small race (132 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.10686 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Toledo Roadrunner Turkey Trot Prediction Run?

The 3.10686 Miles winner ran 18:01 while the median finisher took 31:55. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
