About the Wicked Run 5K + Kids 1-Mile Fun Run
This one runs after dark, on a paved trail that loops out from a soccer stadium. The course is flat and lit by whatever glow gear runners bring, which is part of the point. Costumes are strongly encouraged, and the whole field tends to look the part. It has the feel of a Halloween block party that happens to have a start line.
A Trunk or Treat runs alongside the kids' fun run, so families with younger children have something to do beyond just watching. The start area is at the soccer stadium, with both distances launching from the same spot. Glow sticks and bracelets are handed out, but runners are encouraged to bring extra lights of their own.
