About the Whoville 5k
This one is a costume party that happens to have a course. The Whoville theme runs all the way through, with characters in the park, cookies, and hot cocoa at the finish. There are no official results and no timing, so the pressure is off from the start. The event raises money for a local organization supporting people with Down Syndrome, and the crowd reflects that.
Packet pickup runs across several days before the race at Gazelle Sports locations around town, with a final window on race morning inside the park itself. The start area is in Riverside Park.
