About the Alger Heights Halloween 5k
The course runs through the Alger Heights neighborhood during peak fall color, so the scenery along the way does most of the work. It is a road race, chip timed, and the surrounding streets feel more residential block party than race circuit. Costumes are common enough that showing up without one might make you the odd one out.
Street parking is free in the area, though some blocks along the course are restricted on race morning, so arriving a little early and reading the posted signs is worth the effort.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
