About the Tom Donnelly Hall of Fame 5k
This race runs on a parkway in Buffalo on Labor Day weekend, in the last real warmth of the summer. The course has a reputation for fast times, and the evening start means you are racing into cooler air as the sun goes down. It doubles as an induction ceremony for a regional running hall of fame, which gives the finish area a different feel than most local races.
Packet pickup happens the evening before at a spot on Bidwell Parkway, which is also close to the start. After the race, there is live music and a full spread of food and drink on the parkway while the hall of fame class is welcomed in.

The Tom Donnelly Hall of Fame 5k has been held every year since at least 2014. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
