About the Single & Mingle 5K at the VFW
The course starts at the VFW hall and winds through town, passing a local cemetery and veteran memorials before looping through residential neighborhoods. The terrain is gentle and the surroundings are quiet enough that you actually notice what you are running past, which feels appropriate given the route.
After the race, the VFW stays open for music and hanging around. The event has a social bent built into its name, so the post-race crowd tends to linger longer than usual.
