About the Shelley Irwin Fun Run 2027
The course runs through Millennium Park, which gives it open grounds and enough space that strollers and dogs are genuinely welcome rather than an afterthought. The event is tied to WGVU Public Media, and the host is a local radio personality who has been part of the station for a long time, so there is a reunion-morning feel to it.
Post-race, there is a cocktail bar and a charcuterie spread at the finish area. It is the kind of post-run setup that makes people linger.
