About the Red Devil Run
The course runs on a high school cross country layout, mostly over grass with rolling hills throughout. It is not a flat road race; the terrain keeps shifting underfoot, which makes it feel more like a trail run than a typical neighborhood road race. The route is set on school grounds near Hill Quarters in Irvington.
The race benefits the Lancaster Elementary School athletic department, so the crowd skews toward school families. Expect a start area that reflects that, with kids, parents, and school spirit rather than a race-expo atmosphere.
