About the Pancake Social
The Pancake Social runs on Crooked Smile Trail, which tells you something about the kind of terrain to expect. There is a standard distance and an ultramarathon option on the same course, so the field spans a wide range of effort. Proceeds go to One Soma Global, a charitable organization, which gives the morning a purpose beyond the run itself.
The race starts and finishes at the trailhead, and a long breakfast is part of the event. Pancakes are not an afterthought here; they are named in the title, and the post-race spread sounds like the actual draw for a good portion of the crowd.
