About the Colton's Main Street Run

The course runs through downtown Durant, passing the historic county courthouse and along a magnolia-lined university campus before returning to Market Square. The longer route extends further, going past a medical center and the former headquarters of the Choctaw Nation. Both options follow the same opening stretch, so the surroundings feel genuinely urban and rooted in local history rather than a park loop.

Packet pickup happens the evening before at Market Square, where a running specialty shop from out of town sets up to help with shoe fittings. On race day, volunteers direct parking, and street parking is available along a nearby side street. The businesses along Main Street stay open during the race, so the start area has some life to it beyond just runners.
