About the Oktoberfest 5K Challenge - Columbus, Mississippi
This one runs twice in the same morning, back to back. The first race is built around donut stops along the route, open to all ages. The second is for adults only, with a beer chug at each stop instead. Both benefit the local YMCA, and the whole thing is staged out of Munson's, which sets the tone pretty well.
Packet pickup and check-in happen at the start venue. Anyone running the beer race needs to bring a photo ID; they check it at the door. The donut race goes first, so if you have kids, you can wrap up and stay to watch the second wave.
