About the Mystery Race
The course runs on a greenway path, out and back, starting and finishing at Lamasco Park. The twist: the exact distance is intentionally kept secret, so you pick a shorter or longer range and run without knowing precisely how far you are going. Leaving your GPS watch behind is strongly encouraged, which gives the whole thing an unusual, unplugged feel.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local fitness shop. Race-day check-in opens at the park about an hour before the gun. Timing is handled by a dedicated timing company, and the race goes on in rain or shine, with delays only for threatening weather.
