About the Frightening 5K
The course runs around a fairgrounds outside Evansville, which gives it a flat, open feel with plenty of space and none of the usual road-race congestion. The surroundings are rural and unhurried, and the fall theme fits the season without being overwhelming.
Packet pickup happens the evening before at a local fitness studio, with a second window on race morning at the fairgrounds before the start. The event runs rain or shine, with delays only if there is a genuine weather threat nearby.
