About the Muddy Duck
The Muddy Duck runs on a runner-built trail at Alum Creek State Park, and spring conditions are the whole point. Expect soft ground, standing water, and mud that earns the name. The route uses a north loop and a south loop in alternating directions, so the course shifts underfoot depending on which lap you are on and which distance you chose.
Packet pickup runs at a Fleet Feet location in Lewis Center earlier in race week, with race-morning pickup available at the park. The start sits just off Hollenback Road, near the dog park, so parking and orientation are straightforward. Fleet Feet arrows mark the course throughout.
