About the Great Turkey Trot 5k
The course runs through Allison Creek Park on trail, so expect dirt and natural surface underfoot rather than pavement. The park setting keeps the surroundings wooded and quiet for most of the route. Costumes are a big part of the morning, with a contest drawing turkeys, pilgrims, and general Thanksgiving chaos alongside the racing.
The post-race area has water, snacks, and local organizations set up with tables. There is also a scavenger hunt for kids running alongside the main event, which gives families something to do after they finish.
