About the Great Pumpkin Race

The Great Pumpkin Race runs on road through Canton on a fall morning, starting and finishing at the facility that serves as race headquarters. There is indoor space to warm up and restroom access before the start. Costumes are common. Strollers, wheelchairs, and dogs are all welcome, and pumpkin cart racing and pumpkin decorating run alongside the road events.

Packet pickup runs the evening before, with race-morning pickup available once things get going. The start area is inside the building, so you are not standing in the cold waiting around. Proceeds support Special Olympics athletes in the local area, which gives the morning a clear sense of purpose beyond the finish line.
