About the Great Pumpkin Pie 5k
The course runs out of a minor league baseball stadium, which gives the start and finish area a different feel than a park or a downtown street. The race goes off in the early evening, so the air has usually cooled down a bit by then, and the setting around the stadium gives it a distinct sense of place.
Packet pickup the evening before is at a local running store in Lakeside Village, with race-day pickup also available at the stadium before the start. After you finish, there is pumpkin pie alongside a hot dinner with chips and a drink. Raffle prizes round out the post-race stretch.
