The course follows the Mayo River Rail Trail, a paved path that runs along the river through downtown Stuart. Rail trails tend to be smooth and mostly flat, so the footing is easy and the scenery moves at a comfortable pace. The race is timed to finish before the Apple Dumpling Festival opens, so the town is already stirring when runners come through.

Packet pickup is available the evening before at the Chamber of Commerce, which sits right next to the start line. On race morning, pickup moves to a food bank a short distance away, closing before the announcements begin. Light refreshments are set out after the finish.
