About the Texas Independence Day 5K 2027
The course runs around a lake at a large outdoor complex in Grand Prairie, with trails winding through the grounds. It is open to runners, walkers, and those who ruck, and the surroundings are pleasant enough that the loop feels like a reason to be there, not just a path between start and finish.
Race morning opens with a ceremony before the gun goes off, and the finish area has music, refreshments, and a vendor village featuring organizations from across the state. Packet pickup runs the evening before at the One Tribe Foundation office in Euless, with race-morning pickup available as well.
