About the Taco Fest Taco Trot
The course runs at Sikes Lake, starting near the Wichita Falls Museum of Art. Many runners show up in costume, taco hats, serapes, and sombreros are common sights, and there are prizes for the most festive outfits. The race benefits scholarships for local students, so the crowd tends to be families and people who came out for a reason beyond a finish time.
After the run, Taco Fest follows nearby, with tacos from local vendors and live music. The start area at the museum gives you a recognizable anchor point if you are arriving the morning of the race.
