About the Tacky Sweater 5K
The course loops out from Smartmouth Brewing in Norfolk's Chelsea District along the Elizabeth River Trail, passing through West Ghent and Plum Point Park before returning to the brewery. The terrain is mixed, and the stretch along the Elizabeth River gives the route a quieter, scenic feel even when the weather is brisk.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at Smartmouth Brewery, where a Krampus parade comes through the neighborhood if you linger. Race-morning pickup is also available on site. After the race, the brewery hosts a post-race party with food, beer, and a tacky sweater contest.
