About the Swampfest 5k Gator Stomp
The course runs through Heritage Park, and the race kicks off the broader Swampfest event happening that same morning. Proceeds go toward scholarships for graduating student-athletes from the local high school, so there is a tangible community purpose behind the entry fee. The shorter distance option makes it easy to bring along kids or less frequent runners.
After the race, the park opens into the full Swampfest festival, with carnival rides, live entertainment, local food vendors, and a beer tent. It is one of those mornings where the race is really just the start of a longer day out.
