About the Surviving the Color Newton
This is a color run through Effingham, where volunteers post at stations along the route and drench you in colored powder as you pass. The race benefits a local branch of a suicide loss support organization, and that purpose is felt in the atmosphere. A pre-race ceremony and a closing ceremony both bookmark the morning, which gives the event a more deliberate shape than most fun runs.
Packet pickup and registration open early on race morning before the pre-race ceremony kicks things off. Post-race refreshments are available after you finish.
