About the Ham City Fall Fest 5k Run/Walk

The course runs through downtown Effingham, starting on Jefferson Avenue and crossing a pedestrian bridge before reaching a turnaround and heading back to the finish in front of local shops and restaurants. It is a point-to-point-ish route on closed and open streets, mostly flat, with police and course marshals at the key turns.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at The XCHNG on Jefferson Avenue, with race-morning pickup available at the same spot. Because Jefferson Avenue closes for the festival, nearby public lots near City Hall and the library are the practical options. After the race, food trucks, a beer tent, and live music are already running nearby.
