About the Superhero 5k/1 mile Family Fun Walk
The course runs through Sedgwick County Park, a large open park on the west side of Wichita. The superhero costume theme is taken seriously here, so expect capes and masks at every pace. The race supports children in the area facing serious medical diagnoses, and that purpose gives the morning a real weight behind the fun.
The finish area has a DJ, face painting, bouncy houses, and food and drinks on site. It is the kind of post-race spread that makes sense to stick around for, especially if you are bringing kids.
