About the Super Cannoli Sunday 5K

The course runs through the Bridgeway Station development in Simpsonville and crosses a pedestrian bridge before looping back to the finish near Restaurant Rocco. The terrain is easy to follow and the surroundings are open and walkable. Strollers are welcome, and team jerseys and game-day costumes are part of the scene, since the whole thing is timed around the Super Bowl.

Packet pickup is on-site the morning of the race before the start. After finishing, runners head into Rocco for cannoli and beer. The idea is to run, eat, and still have plenty of time to get home before kickoff.

Common Questions About the Super Cannoli Sunday 5K

Will I finish last at the Super Cannoli Sunday 5K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 36:26, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:02:38, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Super Cannoli Sunday 5K a good first 5K?

A field of 372 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Super Cannoli Sunday 5K?

The 5K winner ran 18:42 while the median finisher took 36:26. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
