About the Sunrise Stampede
Both courses start and finish at an elementary school, which sets the tone for the whole morning. The timed race heads out through the surrounding neighborhood, while the shorter untimed option is built for kids and families moving at any pace. The school spirit angle is real: groups come out together, and the energy around the start reflects that.
Race-morning registration opens well before the first wave goes off, so late deciders can still get in. There is a sponsor alley near the start with pre-race activity, and an awards ceremony wraps things up after the timed race finishes.
