The course runs through Michael Faklis Park along the waterfront, closed to traffic, and most people show up dressed as Santa. The route is scenic and the whole thing has a holiday-party feel, with music going and candy canes and hot chocolate at the finish.
Runners are encouraged to bring a toy or canned food donation to support local charity drives, collected at a Christmas tree set up on site. Prizes are part of the mix too, open to all participants.
