About the Steps for Shep 5k Road Race/1 Miler
The race is held on the Northern State University campus in honor of a former Wolves track and cross country runner. Proceeds support a scholarship in his name for NSU student-athletes. The route options let people cover a short distance or a longer one, and walkers are just as welcome as runners.
The start is at the Barnett Center on campus. Packet pickup and registration details favor signing up ahead of time rather than the morning of. NSU students can participate free with a valid ID, and a virtual option exists for those who cannot make it to Aberdeen in person.
