About the Statesboro 5K Turkey Trot
The course winds through downtown Statesboro's historic blocks, past older storefronts and residential streets, starting and finishing near the Bulloch County Courthouse Square. The route stays in that neighborhood the whole way, so the surroundings feel familiar and walkable. Dogs on leashes, strollers, and wagons are all welcome, and plenty of people show up in Thanksgiving costumes.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the school district's administrative building, with specific entrance instructions included when you register. Race-morning pickup and late registration open at the courthouse square before the start. A short mascot run kicks things off, followed by a dash for younger kids, then the main race. Awards and a raffle wrap up on the square afterward.
