About the St. Vincent de Paul 5K Run/Walk & Fall Festival
The course runs through the grounds of a retreat center, so the surroundings are quieter and greener than a typical road race. There is also a short toddler dash for the little ones, and the whole event is tied to a parish community fundraiser, with donations going toward food, shelter, and clothing for people in the area.
Registration happens at the church on race morning, and parking is in the back lot, with volunteers and signage to guide you in. After the run, the festival stays open for a few hours with face painting, balloon animals, and a raffle basket. Arriving early is a good idea, as the organizers expect a big crowd.
