About the Spooktacular Storybook 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run

This race is built around a costume theme: runners dress as book characters, and there are prizes for it. The whole thing is organized by a local library advocacy group, and the course starts and finishes at the county public library, so the theme carries all the way to the venue.

Packet pickup is at the library on race morning, with an early check-in window before the start. Pets are welcome to wait at the finish line and greet you when you cross, but the organizers ask that they not run the course.
