About the Spookasaurus (formerly Kooky Not Spooky), An Awesomesauce Event
The course runs along the Tennessee River on a paved path, passing the Chickamauga Dam and behind a college campus. It is flat the whole way, and the route loops back through the start area several times, so you can grab something from a drop bag or peel off a layer as you go. Costumes are encouraged, and candy shows up at the aid stations.
The start area has real restrooms, which matters when you are wearing a costume. The aid stations carry the usual mix of sports drink, gels, and snacks, and there is food waiting at the finish. Strollers are allowed on the course, so it works as a family outing.
