About the Spook out Cancer
The course runs through Saratoga Spa State Park, starting and finishing at the Orenda Pavilion. The park setting means tree cover and open paths rather than road racing, and the fall timing tends to bring good foliage. Dogs on leashes are welcome, and the event raises money for cancer advocacy work founded by a local stage IV survivor.
Packet pickup happens race morning at the pavilion. Free parking is in the main SPAC lot nearby, a short walk away; parking directly at the pavilion costs extra. Cider donuts, apples, and fresh cider from local orchards are at the finish, and raffles run through the morning.
