About the Sorghum Shuffle 5K
The Sorghum Shuffle runs through downtown Springfield, and the organizers call it the toughest of a three-race series that also stops in Lebanon and Bardstown. That reputation suggests some real terrain underfoot rather than a pancake-flat route. The race starts and finishes on Main Street in front of a main stage, so there is a genuine town-square feel to the morning.
Packet pickup opens at the start line on race morning, which keeps things simple. The finish area on Main Street, with a stage already set up, tends to draw a crowd.

The Sorghum Shuffle 5K has been held every year since at least 2020. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
