About the Somers Point Halloween 5k
The course runs out and back along a bike path, starting at City Hall. The surface is smooth and the route is straightforward, which makes it easy to settle into a pace. Costumes are strongly encouraged, and prizes go to the best ones, so the field tends to look more like a parade than a typical evening run.
The race rolls straight into a bar crawl after the finish, so most people stick around. It is worth knowing that going in: plan for a social night, not just a race.
