About the Some Gave ALL 5K
This race is a tribute to a Newark firefighter and Marine who was killed in action abroad. The course runs through Olan Thomas Park, and the entry fees go to organizations that support families of fallen military members and first responders. It draws people who want to run for a reason, not just a finish time.
Packet pickup happens race morning at the park, right before the start. Parking is at the lot behind a nearby restaurant called Timothy's, a short walk from the course. That same restaurant hosts a post-race gathering afterward, with food, drinks, and music.
