About the Sole Burner 5K Walk-Run
The Sole Burner is a charity race tied to the American Cancer Society, and the crowd reflects that. Survivors, caregivers, and families run and walk alongside each other, and the reason most people are there is visible from the start. The course is a 5K, and there is also a kids' fun run, so the field tends to span a wide range of ages and paces.
Packet pickup happens at the Sole Burner office on Oneida Street over several days before the race, with teams getting their own dedicated window earlier in the week. If you miss the advance pickup, packets are also available at City Park on race morning.
