About the Sirens and Sluggers
The course starts outside a minor league baseball stadium, moves through downtown Fayetteville past the police department building, and finishes inside the stadium on the field. That finish is the draw: crossing a line inside a ballpark is different from crossing a timing mat on a street corner.
The race benefits the Fayetteville Police Benevolence Fund, which supports officers and their families through hardship, wellness programs, and scholarships. The connection to the Woodpeckers organization gives the morning a ballpark-event feel, with first responders visibly part of the crowd around the start and finish.
