About the Cape Fear River Run
The course runs along the Cape Fear River Trail, a paved greenway that follows the river through Fayetteville. The start and finish are at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden, so you end where the garden paths begin. The route stays on pavement throughout, and the river is your companion for most of it.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at a local brewery on Williams Street. Race morning, parking is at the Botanical Garden and along the street opposite, with volunteers directing traffic. After you finish, your race bib gets you into the garden itself, which stays open well into the afternoon.
