About the 2026 Silver Strand Veterans Day Half Marathon, 10 Miler, 12K & 5K
The course runs along Silver Strand Highway with the Pacific Ocean on one side and San Diego Bay on the other. Roads are closed to traffic, the terrain is flat, and the route runs point-to-point, so there are free shuttles back to the start. Drummers and DJs are stationed along the way.
The finish drops you onto the beach, where a live band and a beer garden are set up. Several distance options mean the field tends to be a mix of paces, but the beach party at the end is the same for everyone. Free parking is available on race day.
