About the Coronado Turkey Trot
The course runs along the waterfront on Thanksgiving morning, following a paved bayshore path out and back with open water views the whole way. There are a couple of turnaround points, one near the bridge viewpoint and one farther north at a bayside park, so the route stays flat and scenic with no real surprises underfoot.
Packet pickup is offered the weekend before at Spreckels Park, or on race morning at Tidelands Park before the start. Parking at the park fills fast, and the organizers frankly recommend ridesharing or parking across the bridge on the San Diego side and riding over rather than fighting holiday traffic on the island.
