About the Shinzen Run/Walk
The Shinzen Run has been going for decades, raising money for a garden in Fresno. There are several distance options, so runners tend to be spread out by pace and purpose. The race is named in memory of the man who started it, and the proceeds still go directly to the garden he cared about.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local bike shop, with additional pickup available race morning before each wave starts. The pancake breakfast opens mid-morning, around the time the shorter distances get going. Age group awards are grab-and-go near the finish, which keeps things moving for people who need to head out early.
