About the Sharsheret West Coast Dash

The races run along Dockweiler Beach, so you have sand and ocean to your left for most of the course. The road surface is paved, and the terrain is flat. There are several distance options, from a short family-friendly course up to a longer run, all finishing at the far end of the beach lots.

The event is built around a cancer support organization, and the atmosphere reflects that. There is a festival area, an opening ceremony, and a group beach cleanup after the races wrap. Parking is in the beach lots off Imperial Highway, and cash helps at the entry gate since lines can back up.
